The Bride and Groom

The Bride and Groom is an upcoming historical fantasy series from bestselling author Martin L. Shoemaker. It's the story of how two people meet, marry, and become the preeminent sorcerers of the 20th century.

The following books are planned:

1. Side by Side: The Bride and Groom in the 1920s. This is the story of how the two sorcerers met, fell in love, and married, all while saving the world from multiple supernatural menaces.
2. Hurray for Hollywood: The Bride and Groom in the 1930s. The Bride and Groom move to Hollywood and do battle with magic from the silver screen!
3. Home Front: The Bride and Groom in the 1940s. In World War II, the Bride and Groom defend America from supernatural forces summoned by Nazi sorcerers; but the demons have plans of their own...
4. The Committee: The Bride and Groom in the 1950s. In the midst of Cold War paranoia, someone is sharing sorcerous secrets with shadowy government agencies. The Bride and Groom must determine who they can trust before an old enemy unravels reality in his quest for vengeance.
5. Drop Out: The Bride and Groom in the 1960s. The Groom's enemies strike through his weaknesses, and the Bride must see him through his struggles so they can prevent demonic forces from finding and raiding his Archive of magical tomes and treasures.
6. Hear Me Roar: The Bride in the 1970s. Separated from her husband for the first time in 50 years, the Bride must gather new allies to fight an insidious politician who pushes the world to the brink of nuclear war.
7. 12 Steps: The Groom in the 1970s. Still a slave to his addictions, the Groom finds himself sentenced to a recovery clinic for hard cases. During his treatment, he discovers a conspiracy to take over the world; and the only allies he has in this fight are his fellow addicts.
8. Full Circle: The Bride and Groom in the 1980s. An old enemy returns, and uses the Bride and Groom's secrets against them. Facing destruction and betrayal, they must reunite to fight a menace they never suspected, and one which knows all their secrets.
9. Unit 12: A Century of Progress. Adam and Brenda Drake run a corner cafe and a small country storage facility. When one storage unit is abandoned, sorcerers and demons appear, wanting to bid for the contents. Their search to understand the contents of the storage unit and the secret world behind them will tie them into the history of the Bride and Groom -- and hint at a new future of supernatural menaces.
